July 31st to August 6th: Baltimore Yearly Meeting’s Annual Session

The theme of the July 31 to August 6 annual session is “Building Our Communities with Love & Tenderness.” Registration is now open. For details, see:  Location is Hood College, 401 Rosemont Ave, Frederick, MD 21701. 

  • Ken Stockbridge (Patapsco Monthly Meeting) will lead the retreat on Monday and Tuesday, July 31 and August 1. The title of his session is “What Binds Us in Quaker Community? (especially whenever we might want to walk away)” 
  • The Plenary Session on Tuesday, August 1, at 7:30 p.m. will be given by Jared Wood, who has a vision of creating spaces where “people from disparate backgrounds can engage in dialogue, reflection, and making that moves us past the destructive ideas we have inherited to the collective love, brilliance, and liberation we all deserve.”
  • On Saturday, August 5, at 7:30 p.m., Diego Navarro will give The Carey Lecture. You can learn more about him here.
