Bethesda Friends (Quakers) gather together for an hour each Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m. for Meeting for Worship. We meet in person and concurrently via Zoom. Read more details about our weekly activities and worship.
11:00 - Worship begins. Arriving early allows everyone to get settled in the Meeting room. Extra seating is available in the adjacent Library. Worship lasts about an hour. If you are visiting, please sign our guest book.
- Childcare for infants through pre-K is available each Sunday in the downstairs play area.
Summer schedule for children: BFM schedules at least three of our paid caregivers for our children's summer playground supervision.
- In some cases, we might have to ask a parent of a child under age 3 to assist us if there are several youngsters who are not independently mobile or if the age group is very diverse.

First Day School during Meeting for Worship: During the school year, First Day School (FDS) classes for children in Kindergarten through 8th Grade is held from 11:00-noon. Please go to our FDS web page for more details and a current schedule.

LOCATION: Worship is held in the Meetinghouse on the Sidwell Friends Lower School campus.

- Various Adult Religious Education Programs are during the month, sometimes in person and other times via Zoom or hybrid. Check our Weekly Schedule.
- Meeting for Worship with a Concern for Business is usually held on the first Sunday of the month at 9:00 a.m. Everyone is welcome. There are some exceptions to Business Meeting schedule on holidays and during the summer; please verify the dates on our Calendar or in our print Directory.
- Committee Meetings are usually held monthly at varying times and dates.
- Informational Forums are sometimes held at 12:30. More information on our Weekly Schedule.
