How do we quiet our minds enough to hear the still, small voice within us? How might we deepen our experience of meeting for worship? Experiment with Light is a meditative and centering practice based upon Rex Ambler’s book Light to Live By, which describes early Quaker meditative habits and translates them into a highly accessible process of clearness and understanding. All are welcome to attend. First-time participants find the process quite easy to follow and often richly rewarding.
For each session, people can listen to the prompts on their own in their own homes. All the gatherings (July 20, August 10, and August 24) will take place virtually at 7:30 p.m. Use this link for the audio format: https://experiment-with-light.org.uk/meditations/ or visit bethesdafriends.org and find “Recurring Events.” For the virtual sessions on July 20, August 10, and August 24, an email reminder will be sent sometime before 7:15 p.m. For details, contact Joan Clement (joan@chears.org) and Peter Nielsen-Jones (pnielsenjones@gmail.com).
NOTE: There is only one Experiment With Light session in July, on July 20.
