The Comparative Religions class continues a 12-week lecture survey of Christianity from its Jewish roots to modern times by Professor Luke Timothy Johnson through The Great Courses. We meet weekly on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom for a half-hour lecture followed by a half-hour discussion. All are welcome.

  • The five lectures in July are: What Christians Believe; The Church and Sacraments; Moral Teaching; The Radical Edge; and Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant.
  • The three lectures in August are Christianity and Politics; Christianity and Culture; and Tensions and Possibilities. There will be a break for the fourth Tuesday in August.
  • In September we will start a new series: Sacred Texts of the World.

Use our Contact Us form to get the Zoom link, or see your email bulletin. Each session is self-contained, so you can attend any session.

--The DVDs for the previous lecture series - Great Minds of the Eastern Intellectual Tradition - have been donated to the BFM library and are available for loan, along with many previous series.
