Golden Rule Ship tours in DC

Sixty-five years ago, a brave Quaker captain and crew tried to disrupt nuclear testing by sailing a 30-foot ketch called the Golden Rule into the Marshall Islands' target zone. Veterans for Peace has resurrected the Golden Rule and are sailing it on an American tour to protest nuclear weapons and educate people on the continuing threat.

• The tour will be in the DC area from April 3 to 17.
• Friends Meeting of Washington plans to host members of the Golden Rule crew and nuclear disarmament supporters for dialogue and food on Wednesday, April 5 at 5:30 p.m. and invites all of us to join them.
