Book Discussion: Robin D’Angelo’s Book "Nice Racism"

On March 24, Friends gathered to discuss chapters 6, 7, and 8: “Spiritual, Not Religious,” “Let’s Talk About Shame,” and “What About My Trauma?” On April 14, we will discuss Chapters 9 and 10: “We Aren’t Actually That Nice” and “How White People Who Experience Other Oppressions Can Still Be Racist, or ‘But I’m a Minority Myself!’”

 The Nice Racism book journey is a space for Friends to gather and support one another in a shared journey to address our complicity in white supremacist systems and internalized white supremacy, including the shame and fear many of us feel when we begin to do this work. We see anti-racism as a spiritual practice, dismantling systems of harm and moving us toward beloved community.
