FDS Walkathon for the Homeless

FDS Walkathon for the Homeless: On November 2, during Meeting for Worship (11:00-12:00), Religious Education and First Day School students will host the annual Neighborhood Walk to End Homelessness.

• BFM Esther Delaplaine began organizing this walk around the neighborhood near the Meeting House decades ago, and FDS children along with other Friends continue this tradition every autumn.
• This is an all-Bethesda Friends Meeting event that is very meaningful for the children and adults who participate during Meeting for Worship.
• Donations to the social concerns box will go to Interfaith Works, a program which provides emergency shelter, supportive housing, essential needs, and an employment program in Montgomery County.
