Friendly Conversations during Potluck

The Change Group is excited to invite you to participate in “Friendly Conversations,” a reimagining of our cherished past tradition of "Friendly Eights." 

• The aim is to foster deeper connections and strengthen our community's ability to engage in difficult conversations in a safe and intimate setting.
• The original "Friendly Eights" tradition brought together small groups of Friends over a simple potluck dinner to build relationships. In this new iteration, we will form small groups that will meet during our monthly potlucks with this essential goal: to enhance our skills in dialogue and deepen our relationships as a Meeting.
• By creating an intimate space, Friends can deepen relationships and strengthen the sense of community while practicing and applying essential conversation skills.

            The first session of Friendly Conversations will take place during potluck on Sunday, January 18th.

The queries for these conversations are the following:

1.   What is a difficult conversation for you to have in the Meeting, and why is it difficult for you?

2.    When did you have a difficult conversation in the Meeting, and how did it turn out?
