Travel Experiences in the South and Abroad

Carolina Friends School invites BFM friends and attenders to join other thoughtful adult F/friends in upcoming transformational travel learning. Based in Durham, NC the school opened in 1964 as one of the South's first intentionally racially integrated schools.

  • Upcoming opportunities organized by the school include “The Coastal Journey,” which explores civil rights history and contemporary racial justice issues in Charleston and Savannah.
    • The dates are March 10-15.
  • Another opportunity is “The Quaker Journey” that explores the early history of Quakerism, retracing the steps of George Fox and Margaret Fell, in the beautiful Lake District of northern England.
    • The trip will occur August 2-9.
  • For more information about these and other other intentional travel and wellness programs, visit www.cfsnc.org/AdultEnrichment.
