Answering the Call to Radical Faithfulness

  • May 10, 2026
  • 9:00 AM - 10:45 AM
  • Groome Building Room 211

Please join us at our April ARE event: “Answering the Call to Radical Faithfulness: A supportive discussion on how our spirituality is supporting and guiding us through these times."

  • This session will take place in Groome 211 at 9:00 a.m. on May 10.

Several times over the last several months, Bethesda Friends have gathered to share what we are doing in response to the ongoing political horrors in our country and world. The Adult Religious Education Coordinators invite you to continue on this theme with specific attention to how Quaker faith and practice guides and supports our actions through these times.

  • Starting with Steve Chase’s wonderful Pendle Hill Pamphlet, “Revelation and Revolution: Answering the Call to Radical Faithfulness,” we will offer queries that invite deeper sharing about what it means to each of us to show up in the world as Quakers (or as ones influenced by Quakerism) through these times.
  • Reading the pamphlet in advance is highly encouraged but not mandatory. There will be a brief overview of its contents near the beginning of the session.

This session will take place in Groome 211 at 9:00 a.m. on May 10. If you wish to attend, please RSVP via our Contact Us form
