Discussion on End of Life Issues: May 24

A number of people in the meeting have been asking for support and information as they consider issues of life and death. The book group recently read and discussed A Tender Time: Quaker Voices on the End of Life by Patricia Nesbitt and Kristin Camitta Zimet of Sandy Spring Meeting.

Patricia recently led a well-attended session at Friends Meeting of Washington on the topic. She spoke about how birth and death are a natural part of our life cycles and of the natural world. The gathering was an opportunity to shift perspectives, to learn, to share, and to ask questions of someone with important experience. 

Patricia has agreed to come to Bethesda Friends Meeting on May 24 at the rise of meeting for worship. All are welcome to gather in person or join by Zoom. The Zoom link will be the same as used for Worship.
